  • Jan. 19 Is At-Home Learning For IFHS/SHS

A reminder: Jan. 19, 2024 is an intervention/at-home learning day for Idaho Falls and Skyline high school students to accommodate the Tiger-Grizz Wrestling team, which draws hundreds of wrestlers from around the state to compete at IFHS and SHS. Students attending Compass Academy and D91’s Career & Technical Education Center will have a regular school day, and shuttles will run on a normal schedule. The Board of Trustees made the calendar change because of safety concerns related to the influx of athletes and visitors at IFHS & SHS during the tournament.

  • Remember Late Start Friday!

All D91 schools start an hour later than normal on Fridays so teachers can work in Professional Learning Communities and focus on student achievement. Late Start Friday is part of the district's ongoing efforts to try and ensure all students are successful. In the Professional Learning Communities or PLCs, teachers dig into student data, look at potential gaps in student learning, and discuss ways to address those gaps by changing instruction or offering interventions. Questions about your school start time? Review the School Calendar.
